Before you Begin
To qualify for a Utah Real Estate Sales Agent License, you'll need to meet the state's basic requirements.
Applicants with criminal history, disciplinary actions, or other legal matters may be subject to additional review under Utah Administrative Rule R162-2f-201.
Your Path to Becoming a Licensed Agent with RTR
Five phases to get you from your first step to fully active under Real Team Realty.
Get Licensed
✓ Complete the 120-hour course at a Utah certified school
✓ Pass the Utah Sales Agent Exam through Pearson VUE (National and State portions, minimum 70% each)
✓ Submit fingerprints and identification
→ RTR Recommends: Stringham Schools — a trusted, state-approved pre-licensing program.
Tip: use the same email for your Pearson VUE registration and your UtahID to avoid processing delays. Your name must match exactly across registration and IDs.

Tip: You can request a broker interview any time — even while you're still completing your courses.

Affiliate Your License
✓ Submit your Utah license application through UtahID
✓ Upload required documents in PDF format
✓ Select Real Team Realty as your brokerage (License # 8565309-CN00)
✓ We monitor your application status and approve your affiliation request
✓ License becomes Active
Tip: Submit your application within 90 days of passing the licensing exam. After you submit, you'll receive fingerprinting instructions and authorization forms by email — usually within 1–2 business days. Complete these as soon as possible to avoid delays.

Launch Your Business
✓ Join your REALTOR® board and related associations — Salt Lake Board of Realtors | NAR | Utah Association of Realtors
✓ Activate MLS Access
✓ Supra Access — Visit the SLBR office (Sandy, UT) and sign the Supra Key Agreement in person
Tip: Join board within 30 days of brokerage affiliation. For security, Supra setup must be completed by you personally — assistants or third parties can't sign on your behalf.
